Don’t tax my benefits!

by Tags:

In December I wrote about an alarming proposition by the federal government (Healthy People or Simpler Tax Code). Apparently I’m not alone in wanting the Feds to abandon the notion of taxing medical and dental benefits.

A full-fledged campaign, sponsored by numerous Canadian medical associations, and supported by the CLHIA has been launched to help you make your voice heard. I encourage you to write your MP and the Finance Minister. This link (http://donttaxmyhealthbenefits.ca/) makes it so easy. The letter is already written and entering your postal code will ensure it is directed to your MP.

As the campaign website says, Are you ready to take action? Take a minute today to protect your valuable benefit coverage and your hard-earned dollars. Forward the link to your employees, friends and family to ensure this message is heard.
