The Public Health Emergency (PHE) declared during the COVID-19 pandemic will end on May 11, 2023. This will change plan requirements to cover COVID-19 testing, treatment, and vaccines.
Plan sponsors will also need to prepare for the end of the National Emergency, which will eliminate the extensions permitted during the “outbreak period”, 60 days after the end of the PHE, on July 10, 2023.
