Buck named Pensions Consultancy of the Year at 2022 Pensions Age Awards

Buck acknowledged for its commitment to supporting clients, its people, and the industry as a whole

LONDON, March 23, 2022 – Buck, an integrated HR, pensions, and employee benefits consulting, technology, and administration services firm, has been named as the Pensions Consultancy of the Year at this year’s Pensions Age Awards. The judges commended Buck for the way it looked after its clients and people through uncertain times, whilst continuing to innovate and push the industry forwards.

Buck was also recognised for its dedication to tackling industry issues, specifically climate change and social and governance risks and compliance. This included the formation of multi-disciplinary environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing and climate risk groups, bringing together Buck’s actuarial and investment expertise to provide specialist advice to clients on climate-related risks and opportunities for investment and funding strategies.

Similarly, the development of Buck’s ESG and climate dashboard gave clients an efficient way to monitor progress against the Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations and other regulatory requirements.

The award also highlights Buck’s ongoing focus on supporting its clients with insight and expertise. Last year, Buck held its inaugural pensions conference season, “Past masters. Current experts. Future thinkers.”, to provide training and guidance to stakeholders of pension schemes. The Buck team, joined by experts from across the industry, delivered webinars covering a variety of topical themes, including scheme consolidation and endgames, climate risk, data journey plans, and governance, resulting in an attendance rate that outperformed the industry standard.

Finally, the accolade recognised the implementation of Buck’s own internal health and wellbeing programme, ‘Head first’, delivering engaging content and access to a range of resources, alongside social events, challenges, and live webinars that aim to provide its staff with the support they needed through the pandemic.

David Piltz, Managing Director at Buck in the U.K., comments:
“I’m delighted that the hard work and dedication the Buck team has put into providing an outstanding service to our clients over the last 12 months has been recognised as not only the Pensions Consultancy of the Year, but also as the Third-Party Administrator of the Year at the 2021 U.K. Pensions Awards.

“In addition to our ongoing commitment to our clients and their people, we’ve also worked extremely hard to create an efficient and healthy working environment that benefits our own employees, and in turn those who work with us. In doing so, we were able to expand both our team and our client base last year.

“Our team of experts will continue to put our clients first to develop and deliver innovative, market-leading solutions that ensure we not only meet but exceed client expectations.”
